Do you want non-citizens voting in the presidential election? If your answer is ’No,’ here’s what you need to do IMMEDIATELY!
While our Congressman Chip Roy successfully passed the SAVE Act out of the U.S. House yesterday, that would prevent non-citizens from voting in our elections, it has ZERO chance of being taken up by Chuck Schumer’s Senate or surviving Biden’s veto pen. So what can we do to protect our elections NOW? Rep. Roy’s bill would compel states to clean up their voter rolls, however, states can still do this on their own RIGHT NOW! Red states like Texas that have sensible Secretaries of State need to urge them to do these two things.
Contact the Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson’s Director of the Elections Division, Christina Adkins, and ask her to have Secretary Nelson do two URGENT things. (see example letter with details below.)
Director Adkins,
I’m writing to ask you to ask Secretary Nelson to do two vital things to ensure non-citizens DO NOT vote in our Texas elections. This MUST be done prior to the very consequential November presidential election. The National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) passed in 1993 doesn’t allow state election officials that register voters to ask for or verify citizenship status prior to registering them to vote in federal elections. So the ONLY way to find non-citizens not legally allowed to vote in Texas who may already be on our voter rolls is to get the master lists of known non-citizens from both the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA).
Please do these two things immediately in order to have enough time prior to the November election:
1) Get the Dept of Homeland Security’s (DHS) list of known non-citizens in order to cross check it with the Texas voter rolls and remove known non-citizens from our rolls prior to November.
2) Get the same list (of non-citizens) from the Social Security Administration in order to cross check it with the Texas voter rolls and remove known non-citizens from our rolls prior to November.
We anticipate that DHS and SSA will drag their feet and try to keep Texas from doing this. That’s why time is of the essence. Attorney General Ken Paxton will have no hesitation in taking both agencies to court to force them to hand over these lists. It’s well within the states’ rights to have free and immediate access to these lists.
Please verify you’ve received this and will pass this on to Secretary Nelson.
Sincerely,
